Lady Gaga shared two selfies of her natural look on social media, promoting her beauty brand Haus Labs.

The 36-year-old superstar’s company, which she established in 2019, just launched in the U.K.

The stunning selfie post, in which Gaga wears a light pink sweatshirt lounging on her bed, is a celebration of this new chapter.

“I’ve always been so inspired by beauty and fashion from the UK, and how bold and innovative it is,” the pop star wrote in the caption of the post.

With an appreciation of beauty culture, Gaga started her own brand Haus Labs “that is also bold and innovative in its artistry and formulas, combining beauty colors with skin-loving ingredients that make our makeup good for your skin!”

The Joker: Folie à Deux actress is known for her avant-garde outfits and futuristic red carpet styles. This makeup-free and natural look candid selfie introduces a more authentic side of Gaga that aligns with the ideas of Haus Labs that emphasize cleanliness, self-expression and mental health, as outlined on the brand’s website.

For Gaga, makeup is a form of empowerment, with the notion of self-care and artistic expression. In an interview with Grazia magazine, she shared her earlier memory of how her mother first introduced her to makeup.

“My mother used to say to me, ‘Take care of yourself. You have to look glamorous.’ It’s not all about how you look – I’ve worn a lot of makeup before and still felt awful on the inside,” said the 13-time Grammy Award winner.

“But for me, makeup is self-care; sometimes it really lifts my spirits and it has helped me with my mental health a lot throughout my life,” she added.
