Potato - Rösti - Burger

Ingredients for 4 people:

4 tomatoes
4 gherkins
a few leaves of lettuce
2 stalks basil
1 onion
600 g potatoes
1 egg yolk
1 hect. Tbsp. flour
salt
pepper from the mill
80 g breakfast bacon
approx. 4 tbsp. oil
2-3 tablespoons tomato ketchup
2-3 tablespoons tartar sauce

Preparation:

1. Clean tomatoes, wash, cut into slices. Cut gherkins into fine slices. Pluck lettuce leaves slightly smaller, wash and drain. Wash basil, pat dry and pluck leaves from stems.

2. Peel onion, dice finely. Peel, wash and grate the potatoes. Mix both with egg yolk and flour. Season with salt and pepper. Cut bacon in half and fry in a pan until crispy, set aside.

3. Heat oil in the pan in batches. Heat 9 rösti (8-10 cm diameter) in it one after the other, turning until crispy.

4. Keep Rösti warm in the oven until all Rösti are fried. Then layer with prepared ingredients, ketchup and tartar sauce. Serve decorated with basil.
