'Getting ridiculous': Morgan Gibbs-White blasts 'outrageous' decision as Nottingham Forest lose

Nottingham Forest forward Morgan Gibbs-White has blasted referee Michael Salisbury after a 1-0 defeat to Brighton earlier today.

The player was speaking to BBC Sport.

So, what has Gibbs-White said after another defeat for Forest – this time at the hands of Brighton? Let’s take a closer look…

What Morgan Gibbs-White said after Forest defeat to Brighton

Well, it would appear as though Forest have been absolutely robbed by the VAR once again.

Jakub Moder tackled Neco Williams using excessive force, committing an act of serious foul play – yet was only yellow-carded.

It’s getting pathetic now in terms of the decisions that Forest are on the wrong end of and Gibbs-White has simply had enough.

He told BBC Sport: “It’s getting ridiculous. Honestly ridiculous. The amount of decisions that have gone against us is outrageous this season.

“I don’t want to speak so much because I could get into trouble, so many things I want to say. In two days time we will get an apology again.”

Forest fell to a 1-0 defeat courtesy of an own goal from Andrew Omobamidele and are now just three points clear of the relegation zone.

Forest have to get their own house in order

The Reds should have played the final 20 minutes or so of this one against ten men and things might have been different.

Moder should have been shown a straight red card for his challenge and moments after he’d escaped with a yellow he was hooked.

Gibbs-White is spot on to call the decision out and Forest will hope that their luck can change pretty quickly.

Forest need to stick together in the current moment and hope they can pick up a few wins to ease the relegation burden.

With a points deduction to come too, Forest will now be under no illusions that they’re in big trouble at the wrong end of the table.
