'Embarrassing again': Alan Rogers stunned by one decision in Nottingham Forest clash yesterday

Alan Rogers has been left stunned that Brighton midfielder Jakub Moder wasn’t shown a red card yesterday for a horrible tackle on Nottingham Forest star Neco Williams.

The former left-back has taken to Twitter this morning to speak of his bemusement over the incident.

So, what did Rogers make of the tackle that should have seen Brighton down to 10 men against Forest? Let’s take a closer look…

Well, it would appear as though Forest have been done again – and they should have spent considerable time playing against a man less in this one.

Moder’s tackle was out of control, used excessive force and saw Michael Salisbury wield a yellow card on the field.

VAR was Craig Pawson and he bizarrely didn’t deem it bad enough to overturn the yellow in favour of a red – to the bemusement of everyone associated with Forest.

Rogers can’t believe what he’s watched in the Forest game this morning, with the former defender incensed that further sanction wasn’t taken. He Tweeted:

Rogers right to be stunned – but Reds fans are used to it now

It’s frankly becoming a joke that Forest continues to get decisions go against them this season in the Premier League.

That said, the Reds have played against 10 men on certain occasions this season and managed to look worse so it wouldn’t have definitely earned them a different result yesterday.

The tackle was nothing short of a joke by Moder. In truth, it’s amazing that Williams managed to escape a serious injury and something has to give with these match officials.

Rogers is right to slam the officials’ decision during the defeat for Forest but the team has to start taking care of business themselves now.

Hopefully, the luck can change between now and the end of the season and boy do Forest need a little bit of fortune in their favour.
