Nuno shares whether he would like Nottingham Forest to build a new ground

Nuno Espirito Santo has been sharing his thoughts on the possibility that Nottingham Forest might consider leaving the City Ground.

The head coach has been doing his pre-match press conference ahead of Saturday’s game with Luton Town.

So, what has Espirito Santo said about Forest possibly leaving the City Ground? Let’s take a closer look…

Nuno Espirito Santo shares whether he thinks Forest should leave the City Ground

Well, it would appear that this is a hot topic at the moment for anyone with an association with Forest.

The Reds are facing increasing difficulties in persuading the powers that be that extending the City Ground is the right thing to do.

With that in mind, chairman Tom Cartledge has mentioned that a contingency plan could see a new home for Forest in the future.

Espirito Santo isn’t on board with the new suggestions, however, and believes Forest must remain at the City Ground.

He told the club’s official YouTube channel: “I hope not, City Ground has been our home forever. I would love to stay and keep playing at the City Ground forever.

“There are not many stadiums in the Premier League that make this kind of noise and support their team as our fans do.

“It’d be impossible to replicate it elsewhere. Special places are made to history and that’s why they become special.”

Forest must do whatever it takes to remain at the City Ground

It just wouldn’t be right to go to watch Forest and not head to the City Ground to witness the fixture.

The home of Forest is symbolic with the football club and the banks of the River Trent have witnessed some memorable nights down the years.

Espirito Santo is right to come out with this and hopefully, his platform can put some pressure on the powers that be to help Forest out.

It’s shambolic that people who probably don’t even like football are playing hardball and the local council should be ashamed of themselves with how they’ve handled this Forest situation.
