Hilarious new trend is exposing people's crazy crushes

A new trend is taking over TikTok called ‘Hear Me Out’ which has people exposing the unlikely people they fancy.

Forget Leonardo DiCaprio and Megan Fox, we’re talking about the hilariously crazy crushes that no one would ever expect.

What does ‘Hear Me Out’ mean?

The viral trend originates from a Twitter/X post shared on February 8, where someone wrote: “Who is yalls craziest ‘hear me out’.”

It’s had more than 78 million views, and the internet user was asking people to respond by sharing someone they fancy.

However, it can’t be someone that everyone has a crush on, it must be someone unlikely, random and unexpected.

The phrase “hear me out” implies that people need to listen to your bizarre crush and consider your point of view.

People share crazy crushes

In the comments, people have been sharing their unexpected fantasies, and there are some pretty wild ones.

One person said the guy from the KFC logo, Colonel Harland David Sanders, to which the poster replied: “He is so fine actually I see it.”

Someone else fancies Bowser, the fictional evil turtle and primary antagonist from the Super Mario Bros franchise.

George Washington from Hamilton, the crazy plane lady Tiffany Gomas, the Fairy Godmother from Shrek and Avatar’s Jake Sully all made the list too.

Trend takes over TikTok

The trend has now made its way onto TikTok, where people are continuing to share their weird and wonderful crushes.

Someone said that Ted Shackleford, the guy in the animated series Curious George is pretty swoon-worthy.

“I have a Curious George hyper fixation at my grown age and I can’t stop thinking about him,” they joked in the caption.

“He’s intelligent, kind, patient, fun-loving, totally get it,” someone replied.

Another person revealed the guy from the Lindt’s chocolate adverts, known as the “master chocolatier” is their biggest “hear me out”.

Someone agreed: “You’re not alone on this one.”

Some other hilarious ones are Founding Father Alexander Hamilton on the $10 bill, the red-haired guy from The Doodlebops and Andrew Ilnyckyj from BuzzFeed.
