Karen Huger has spoken out after a car accident. The Real Housewives of Potomac star’s luxury car, worth more than $63K, was involved in the crash after she “drove too fast for the conditions”.
The Real Housewives of Potomac cast member Karen Huger was involved in a car crash on Tuesday, March 19, when she was caught “driving aggressively” in a high-speed accident, cops say.

Karen Huger was involved in a car accident late Tuesday night while driving home crying. She was on her way home from a dinner with a friend, which brought up grief days after Mother’s Day.
“Last night I met a girlfriend for dinner, we talked and brought up some very emotionally sensitive topics. I was crying on my way home and saw a car heading right for me,” Karen told TMZ.
“I swerved to avoid the head-on collision, hit the divider and then a tree. I’m hurt, bruised up a bit, but so grateful I am alive! I did receive citations, one of which was unrelated to the incident,” she added.

Police reportedly say Karen was “driving too fast for the conditions” in an “aggressive manner”. Huger struck a median and a crosswalk sign at an intersection before slamming into a parking sign.
She ended up totalling her car in a high-speed crash, as per TMZ. The crash was so severe the airbag in Huger’s luxury vehicle went off, but it is unclear whether she sustained any injuries.
There were no passengers in the car, according to the outlet. Karen was mostly shocked that the other car involved left the scene and said, “What was most surprising is the car that almost hit me just drove away!”

Karen’s luxury 2017 Maserati car was totalled. Believed to be worth more than a pricey $63K, it was damaged so badly that it no longer could be driven, and a tow truck was called to take it away.
Despite the damage to the car, she says the “seatbelt saved her life,” adding, “I would like to stress, it’s important to understand your emotional state when driving.”
“May this be a reminder to all to use their seatbelts, my Mother may be my Guardian Angel but the seatbelt saved my life,” Karen continued following the terrifying incident.
