‘Sign him’: Jamie O’Hara wants Tottenham Hotspur to get 24-year-old Newcastle United player

Jamie O’Hara has named the Newcastle United player he would love Tottenham Hotspur to sign in the summer transfer window.

Tottenham Hotspur suffered a heavy 4-0 defeat at the hands of Newcastle United away from home at St. James’ Park in the Premier League on Saturday.

Spurs are aiming to beat Aston Villa to the fourth spot in the league table this season and were expected to least draw the match against Newcastle.

However, Newcastle thumped Spurs and damaged their chances of qualifying for the UEFA Champions League next season.

One of Newcastle’s best players against Tottenham was Alexander Isak. The 24-year-old Sweden international striker, who has been compared to Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, scored twice in the game.

Isak has now scored 17 goals and given one assist in the Premier League this season. The Newcastle striker has just three fewer than Manchester City star Erling Haaland.

Former Tottenham player and talkSPORT pundit Jamie O’Hara has said that he would love to see Spurs sign Isak in the summer transfer window.

Ex-Aston Villa striker Gabriel Agbonlahor also believes that Isak would be a brilliant signing for Spurs.

Tottenham Hotspur urged to sign Alexander Isak from Newcastle United

Agbonlahor said about Isak on talkSPORT (6:16 pm, April 13, 2024): “If Newcastle have to sell, Financial Fair Play, he is one of the ones that, like, they won’t want to sell him, but if Spurs could get him… Oh!”

O’Hara responded: “I would give everything to sign him. We won’t do it because we won’t put our hands in our pockets.”

Agbonlahor noted: “Before you go and get Toney, you are getting him, mate, all day.”

O’Hara said: “Anyone would have him. The only problem with him is his injury. That’s the problem with him. He picks up too many injuries. You are never going to get a full season out of him, but when he plays, when he is fit, he is one of the best players in the league.”

Tottenham Hotspur should keep tabs on Alexander Isak

Alexander Isak is one of the best strikers in the Premier League and is only 24 years of age.

So, I think that Tottenham Hotspur should keep an eye on Isak, especially, as HITC revealed in March that the striker is concerned with how Newcastle’s season has panned out.

While Tottenham have not exactly missed Harry Kane since he left for Bayern Munich in the summer of 2023, there is an argument to be made that Spurs need a quality centre-forward.

I think that Son Heung-min is better off coming in from the wide, and Richarlison is not very prolific.
