"All eyes..." - Miller explains Gers title chances and date for decider

Momentum in a title race can be pivotal in terms of determining the victor and Rangers fans will be hoping that Philippe Clement can swing it back in our favour.

The Gers boss was clearly frustrated after sending out his squad with a message to improve in the second half only for them to play even worse and capitulate.

The Scottish Premiership trophy doesn’t quite have green and white ribbons on it, but if Rangers are to win, Philippe Clement has to overcome one hurdle, as explained to Sky Sports by Kenny Miller.

Rangers and Philippe Clement given Parkhead ultimatum

It doesn’t take a genius to work out that Rangers have no more margin of error.

The last gasp Old Firm draw at Ibrox gave us a lifeline, however, we face being behind rather than infront if we win our game in hand.

Giving his verdict on the dismal defeat in Dingwall, Miller told Sky Sports that the advantage has changed hands but that there is one date that could be the decider:

“All eyes go to Celtic Park to be honest with you in a few weeks whenever that fixture gets decided.

“Rangers have a game in hand on Wednesday night up in Dundee which remains to be seen whether or not it will actually be played at Dundee.

“But that is an absolute must win just to get back to that one point.

“What it’s done, is it’s gave Celtic the advantage, going into that game at Celtic Park.

“Had Rangers won yesterday, and won their game in hand, and went into that two points clear it would give you that luxury of being able to come away with a draw.”

Is it all on the result at Parkhead?

The bad news for Rangers is that very rarely does a team win every game after the split and Philippe Clement will have to pick his players back up and get them playing the way they were when they closed the gap.

It’s been too long since a competitive game was won against Celtic and over two and a half years since one was won at Parkhead.

That record has to change.

Miller is right, to an extent, Parkhead becomes massive now but that’s doing a disservice to the likes of Hearts and Kilmarnock who have taken points off both sides of the Old Firm this season and will be confident of doing so again.

Technically, it is still in Rangers hands, but we haven’t half made it hard for ourselves.
