Brazilian releases statement on his future after West Ham and Villa links as next club is confirmed

Brazilian Felipe Anderson has released a statement on his future after links to West Ham and Aston Villa as his next club is confirmed.

Felipe Anderson was being linked with a sensational return to West Ham in January as well as Premier League rivals Aston Villa.

Anderson was West Ham’s Brazilian magnifico before Lucas Paqueta came along and Aston Villa boss Unai Emery was said to be a big fan too.

Anderson’s face didn’t fit under David Moyes at West Ham.

And he was shipped out on loan to Porto before being sold back to Lazio from whence he originally came.

West Ham and Villa linked with free agent Anderson

The winger got back to something like his best for the Hammers’ Italian cousins.

So much so he was even linked with a return to West Ham as well as the likes of Juventus and Aston Villa in January.

That was the result of some excellent performances and being an ever-present for the Serie A side.

In the end he remained with Lazio and did not sign a pre-contract agreement with the Hammers or Villains as he would have been entitled to do given his deal with Lazio expires this summer.

Anderson has since been heavily linked with a free transfer to Juventus.

Brazilian an attractive free transfer given PSR

With Premier League clubs including West Ham and Villa having to tread more carefully over PSR, a free agent of Anderson’s proven quality was set to be in high demand in the summer transfer window.

There has been incessant speculation over the 31-year-old’s future with Lazio also offering him a new deal.

Now Anderson has released a statement on his future after links to West Ham and Aston Villa as his next club is confirmed.

The attacker confirmed he will be leaving Lazio after failing to find an agreement over a new contract.

“Out of respect for the company and all its people who have me always supported I inform you that I have not found the agreement for the renewal of the contract with the company so I’ll go another route next season,” Anderson said.

“I have always demonstrated my opinion with facts professionalism and my commitment to Lazio, so I assure you that I will continue to dedicate myself until the last day of my contract to honour this shirt.

“Thanks for everything!”

Anderson posts statement on future as next club revealed

Since posting his statement, Anderson’s next club has been revealed.

Last night Fabrizio Romano and a host of other transfer reporters stated that Anderson will make a ‘shock’ return home to Brazil to sign for Palmeiras for family reasons.

“Felipe Anderson has signed in as new Palmeiras player on free transfer from Lazio, after deciding against signing new contract,” Romano said.

“Felipe received Juventus proposal for three-year contract last week but he decided for shock return to Palmeiras for family reasons.”
