1000-lb Sisters star Tammy Slaton takes to social media beaming from ear to ear this Spring sharing some exciting news. The TLC star has been through an awful lot in the past few years. So, many are pleased to see her smiling. Tammy Slaton and her sister, Amy, embarked on an epic weight loss journey which fans have followed along for since 2020.
Nowadays, Amy Slaton Halterman and Tammy Slaton have been hitting their weight loss goals. Many take to the comments sections of their social media posts to say the 1000-lb Sisters stars look “unrecognizable.” Unfortunately, they’ve also had their fair share of tough times in life recently with Amy going through divorce and Tammy’s estranged husband passing away.
Tammy shares good news
In an adorable TikTok post, Tammy shared some “good news” with her fans and followers this April.
Smiling throughout the clip, she said: “Update on my momma cat, I am a proud momma of four kittens.”
Tammy explains how she’s not sure if the “momma cat is done completely yet” as she has just given birth.
Clearly excited about the new arrivals, Tammy adds: “That one there, he’s got a little grey on him. She’s got brown stripes, but that one there’s going to have some grey. For the most part, they’re all black.”
Tammy concluded: “…momma and the babies are doing perfect, I’m so happy.”
Tammy rescued a cat
Some 1000-lb Sisters fans may be wondering when exactly Tammy became a cat momma.
She shared the news she had a new cat just one day before her newfound four-legged baby gave birth.
Taking to TikTok to introduce Chocolate to her fans, she wrote: “I’m so happy right now meet the new member of my family. Yes she’s pregnant, but she’s in really good hands and I named her Chocolate because she is so freaking sweet and it just seemed to fit.”
Slatons adore their pets
Many long-time fans of 1000-lb Sisters will know the siblings as being animal lovers.
The family were proud owners of a chihuahua named Lil Bit for over 20 years and they sadly held a funeral when their pet passed.
Although the Slatons have shown themselves to care for Lil Bit, some of their followers take to Reddit threads to criticize the sisters on the number of pets they’ve had over the years.
The TLC stars have been through many changes to their circumstances in recent years including Amy becoming a single mom and Tammy losing Caleb Willingham.
Thankfully, it looks like Tammy is all smiles these days as she seems over the moon with the arrival of Chocolate’s kittens.
