UPDATE: Driver killed, another hurt in 6-vehicle crash on Garden State Parkway, cops say
One person was killed in a crash on the Garden State Parkway in Essex County early Wednesday, authorities said.
The crash took place at 12:45 a.m. near milepost 145.1 in Irvington and resulted in the death of a driver, according to the State Police’s daily fatal crash update.
A State Police spokesman didn’t immediately provide additional information.
The crash took place a little less than a mile south of Exit 144, the South Orange Avenue exit.
