What Behdad Eghbali now plans to do with Levi Colwill amid interest from other clubs - journalist

Chelsea defender Levi Colwill has recently been linked to French giants Paris Saint-Germain.

Levi Colwill is a target for PSG, journalist Ben Jacobs recently reported on Substack.

The 21-year-old is currently out injured, but he has been a key player for Chelsea when fit.

This season, Colwill has made more than 30 appearances for the Blues, starting at both left-back and centre-back, showing his versatility.

Given that, Mauricio Pochettino would want to have him available for Chelsea’s FA Cup semi-final tie against Manchester City on Saturday. However, the English youngster is not expected to recover in time for the trip to Wembley.

Behdad Eghbali’s Levi Colwill stance

According to journalist Simon Phillips, PSG are actually not targeting Colwill right now, but there is interest from other clubs.

However, Phillips has claimed that the England star’s people think Chelsea co-owner Behdad Eghbali will keep hold of him and not entertain any offers that come in for his signature.

He wrote on Substack: “Colwill’s agents are in the thinking that Behdad Eghbali would not entertain any offers for the centre back and on Chelsea’s side, he actually is ‘not for sale’. “

With Colwill coming through the club’s academy, Chelsea have the chance to make pure profit from any sale, but it does not look like they are keen on doing that.

Levi Colwill to miss Chelsea’s FA Cup semi-final vs Manchester City

With Colwill likely to be unavailable for Chelsea’s trip to Wembley on Saturday, Ben Chilwell or Marc Cucurella will be expected to start at left-back.

His absence also means Thiago Silva will probably begin the game on the left side of Chelsea’s central defence.

When Colwill returns from injury, though, you would expect him to find his way back into the team and remain at the club.

With all of the potential that Colwill has, it is hard to imagine Chelsea selling him this summer. It would have to take a fee that would make the Three Lions defender one of the Blues’ most expensive ever sales for the club to consider doing business.
