'He has that capacity': Thierry Henry says player Arsenal reportedly want to sign can play like Eden Hazard

Arsenal legend Thierry Henry has explained one similarity between a Gunners target and Belgium icon Eden Hazard.

Mikel Arteta‘s side crashed out of the Champions League after a 1-0 defeat in the second leg of their quarter-final clash against Bayern Munich on Wednesday.

That really is heartbreaking for Arsenal as they truly believed they had the quality to get past the German giants, who haven’t been at their usual dominant level this season.

Even Arsene Wenger predicted a Gunners win before the clash.

The defeat on Wednesday night made it clear that Arsenal need reinforcements in multiple areas of their pitch, and the North Londoners have been linked with plenty of names.

Henry has now heaped praise on one of their targets.

Thierry Henry delivers honest verdict on Arsenal target Jamal Musiala

Arsenal are in a position now where they can attract the best players in the world.

The Gunners were in contention to win the Premier League and the Champions League until a few days ago, and although one of those dreams is dead, they could still achieve the other.

Irrespective of what happens, Arsenal will be in the Champions League again next season, and they will almost certainly be contenders to win all the trophies that are available.

That makes them a very attractive club for top players, and one of them has been linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium – Jamal Musiala.

The Bayern Munich man will enter the final two years of his contract this summer, and if he doesn’t sign a new one, he will become a wanted man.

Arsenal are said to be one of the clubs who will try to sign Musiala, and Thierry Henry appears to be a huge fan of the 21-year-old.

The legendary Frenchman refused to compare Musiala to Eden Hazard, but he did suggest there are similarities between him and the former Chelsea star.

Speaking about Musiala’s performance against Arsenal, Henry said on CBS Sports: “He was outstanding. His capacity and ability to just bail you out of any problem… If you can’t just pass the ball out from the back, he just takes it and beats one or two men.

“That has nothing to do with your tactics, it’s just him beating people and beating the lines so you can go up and play. He has that capacity.

“We’re not going to compare him to Eden Hazard, his ability and me seeing what he was doing when I was the coach with Belgium. At times, you just give the ball to Eden.

“If you give it to Musiala, he will bail you out with the way he plays, especially when we all know, at the moment the game was, nobody wanted the ball, it was kind of weird.

“He wanted the ball at his age. He was turning, not being shy, asking for the ball, keeping people away with his body, the way he was controlling it and the way he was going forward. That’s second to none when you’re in trouble in the game and everyone is kind of hiding and not wanting that ball.”

Arsenal face competition from two rivals for Jamal Musiala

If Jamal Musiala ends up on the market in this summer’s transfer window, we’re sure every top club in Europe will consider signing him.

The German, still only 21, is an incredible player. Jamie Carragher said he’s convinced Musiala will become a superstar one day.

Arsenal have been linked with a move to sign Musiala, but they aren’t the only big Premier League club interested in his signature this summer.

Reports have claimed that Pep Guardiola wants to sign him more than anyone else, while Michael Edwards wants to bring him to Liverpool too.

It will be interesting to see what will happen with Musiala this summer, but we’re sure Bayern will do everything they can to extend his contract and keep him at the club.
