EXCLUSIVE: The Apprentice’s past 2022 winner, Harpreet Kaur, claims reality TV contestants “want fame and exposure” while hinting that she’d love to take part in a celebrity version of the intense show.
The Apprentice‘s recent season has officially come to an end. 2022 winner, Harpreet, told Reality Titbit how filming really works in the intense BBC competition, and even hinted she’d go on TV again.
The Apprentice’s Harpreet talks celebrity spin-off
Harpreet “would absolutely love to” appear on a celebrity version of The Apprentice. She told Reality Titbit, “It’s a great idea to get previous winners on there to compete against each other.”
Adding that she’d “love to do more TV in the future,” the former BBC One show winner reflected on the grilling show interview process – which took an entire day to film, with only 20-minute breaks.
She said, “It was a full day, and we were all waiting in the waiting room – and you go in one by one. We were fed and watered, but we had about 20 minutes in between each interview to prepare ourselves.”
Past winner says contestants ‘want fame’
Harpreet admits that “everyone who signs up for a reality TV show wants some sort of fame and exposure.” She also says it “wouldn’t surprise her if one or two signed up to The Apprentice for that only.”
However, she adds, “But most of the time it is because they want to grow their business and show Lord Sugar they have what it takes to be his business partner.”
‘Huge platform’ key to success
Although Dragons’ Den has been proven as the best for business, as per a study, Harpreet maintains just how much her small business has grown since she rose to fame on The Apprentice in 2022.
She said, “The Apprentice has given me so much since being on the show and winning it. Going on The Apprentice gives you a huge platform that you would never get if you didn’t go on the show.”
“It’s grown massively. We’ve turned our shops into a recognisable brand and the opportunities have been endless since I went on the show,” the former winner told us, adding that the spotlight certainly helped.
