Rasmus Hojlund has suggested that he has been really impressed by one Newcastle United star, mentioning him alongside Erling Haaland.
It has been a mixed season for the Magpies this year. Injuries have largely prevented Eddie Howe’s men from building on the promise that they showed last season.
But Newcastle are on course to end this campaign on a high. They have won four of their last six league games to remind everyone of the potential they possess.
Last time out, it was an emphatic 4-0 win over Tottenham.

And the star of the show on that occasion was Alexander Isak, with the Swede scoring twice against Ange Postecoglou’s side at St James’ Park.
Isak has now scored 17 times in 24 league games for the Magpies this season. It is an outstanding return from the 24-year-old who arrived with plenty of pressure on his shoulders as the club’s record signing.
Isak is wanted by Arsenal. And it seems that he is impressing his peers.
Speaking on Saturday Social, Rasmus Hojlund was asked to name the best Scandinavian player in the Premier League. Understandably, he opted for Erling Haaland.
However, he did make sure to mention the Newcastle forward.
“That has to be Erling Haaland. I think he’s doing great, what he did last season, but this season as well. It’s incredible,” he said.
“I’d like to mention Isak as well. He’s doing very good at Newcastle. But there’s a lot of very good players. You can see that the Scandinavians are becoming better and better.”

Isak has definitely established himself as one of the best strikers in the league. He has been exceptional throughout his time on Tyneside. And he should only improve in the coming years.
Eddie Howe believes that Isak could become a legendary figure at Newcastle. And the longer they manage to keep hold of him, the more chance they surely have of realising their ambitions.
The Premier League now boasts a number of the most talented strikers in the world right now. Hojlund obviously named Haaland, but the Manchester United and Newcastle men are definitely looking at very bright futures themselves.
