Report: How Newcastle United really feel internally about Alexander Isak's future right now

There are a lot of rumours surrounding Alexander Isak and his future at Newcastle United.

The 24-year-old is attracting a lot of attention as of late, as the Newcastle United star continues to enjoy the best season of his young career.

Alexander Isak netted his 20th and 21st goals of the season against Tottenham Hotspur last time out, and reduced Micky van de Ven to ridicule in the process. But the Spurs defender is not the only person who Isak has embarrassed this season, and he probably will not be the last.

Arsenal are interested in Alexander Isak

There are a lot of eyes on Newcastle United’s most expensive signing ever right now, with Arsenal proving to be his fondest admirers.

They were linked with signing Isak before his move to St James’ Park, and it was recently claimed that they are interested again. Mikel Arteta is a big fan, while it is evident that the Gunners need a reliable goalscorer.

But talk of £100million move for the Sweden international has been laughable, and a new report has detailed how Toon officials feel internally about the prospect of Isak departing the club this summer.

How Newcastle United really feel about Isak leaving this summer

iNews have provided an update on Alexander Isak’s immediate future at Newcastle United.

They report that the club are relaxed about the situation, as they have no intentions of selling Isak, nor has the forward given any indication that he would like to leave Newcastle.

On top of that, iNews add that PSR restrictions mean that Arsenal would not be able to afford the £100million plus fee that a player of Isak’s calibre will command.

Newcastle want to give Isak more support

Newcastle are not preparing for a future without Isak. Instead, they are preparing for him to be the focal point of Eddie Howe’s team.

It was recently reported that Howe wants to build his team around the striker, while iNews have added that Newcastle are hoping to sign a forward this summer who can compete with him.

The Magpies need to find someone who can provide reliable cover for Isak, as Callum Wilson is not able to offer that. His future at St James’ Park is uncertain, and a move away from Tyneside would make signing another attacker even more pressing.
