Music fans have had enough as third big star cancels tour dates - 'I'm so p***ed'

The Weeknd fans have been left gutted after he officially canceled his Australian and New Zealand tour after initially postponing at the end of last year.

The music star was set to play in Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane across November and December, however, fans have been left devastated upon learning the gigs will no longer go ahead. It seems to be a trend as of late, as the Jonas Brothers and Jennifer Lopez have also come under fire for similar actions.

The Weeknd cancels Australia and New Zealand tour due to ‘unforeseen circumstances’

After postponing the dates of his After Hours Til Dawn tour Down Under in November, fans have been left devastated as they receive an email saying it’s been canceled altogether.

“Whilst we continue to work through the rescheduling process with the artist, tickets for the existing 2023 tour will be canceled. All purchased tickets will receive a full refund,” reads a statement on Ticketek’s website.

As well as a refund, if the Starboy singer does happen to ever make his way Down Under, those fans will be able to access a priority pre-sale purchase window for his new tour, which is said to be happening on the email.

However, it looks like it doesn’t make up for them missing out, as they took to social media to share their disappointment.

“I HAD SUCH GOOD TICKETS FOR THE WEEKND I’M SO P***** UGHHHH,” one disappointed fan wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.

“Love how The Weeknd officially canceled Australia & NZ,” another sarcastically wrote.

As of yet, there’s been no word or apology from the artist, leaving fans even more enraged. And, he’s not the only one to disappoint fans recently…

The Jonas Brothers recently ‘rescheduled’ their European tour with ‘no apology’

It looks like The Weeknd, real name Abel Tesfaye is joining the Jonas Brothers and Jennifer Lopez in disappointing fans, who also did something similar.

On April 10, Nick, Kevin, and Joe Jonas took to social media to announce they were rescheduling their European tour to later this year because they had “some exciting projects,” to work on. Despite the video message, the brothers didn’t seem to apologize to their fans who were left bitterly disappointed.

“Are you going to pay for the flights and hotel bookings that I just wasted my money on now?” questioned one fan in the TikTok comments.

“Lads I don’t think you can just ‘move’ the dates to something else because you feel like it, people have already spent their hard-earned money on flights/hotels???” another disappointed fan wrote.

Jeniffer Lopez also recently left fans disappointed as she canceled several of her upcoming tour dates on her This Is Me…Now the Tour, her first in five years.

The star was initially scheduled to play 37 dates, however they had been whittled down to 30. Nashville, Raleigh, Atlanta, Tampa, New Orleans, Clevland, and Houston all seemed to be affected.

“Unfortunately, the Event Organizer has had to cancel your event. No action is required to obtain a refund. It will be processed to the original method of payment used at time of purchase, once funds are received from the Event Organizer, which is usually completed within 30 days,” the statement on Ticketmaster read.

Although there was no official explanation as to why, Variety reported it was down to weak ticket sales. Awkward if true!
