Arsenal fans have now had their say on the performance that Martin Odegaard produced against Chelsea on Tuesday evening.
Martin Odegaard was not able to get on the scoresheet as Arsenal romped to a 5-0 win over their London rivals at the Emirates Stadium.
However, it would still be fair to say that the Norwegian playmaker ran the show against Chelsea and a strong argument can certainly be made that he was the best player on the pitch. Odegaard has been the most creative player in the Premier League this season, and the Arsenal captain showed his class again in this regard tonight.

Time and time again, the midfielder carved open the Blues. His creativity and vision were on another level, and he was rewarded for his craft and guile with a brace of second half assists.
In the 57th minute, he played Kai Havertz through on goal and the German was able to find the back of the net against his former club. Havertz was criticised for shying away from a shooting chance in the first half, but he found his clinical edge after the break as he was able to score twice against the Blues.
Ben White was also able to notch two strikes against the West London outfit. The right-back rarely gets himself on the scoresheet, but as the Gunners ran rampant he was able to find so much space in the opposition penalty area and took full advantage.
His second came as he met with a delightful scooped pass which had been floated into the box by Odegaard. The full-back then diverted the ball into the top corner, though suspicions remain that he was in fact attempting to cross the ball.
In any case, Mikel Arteta will be delighted with the performance his side put in on the night, not least as it extended Arsenal’s lead at the top of the Premier League table and heaped pressure on Liverpool and Manchester City to maintain their pace in the title race.

The Spanish coach will also have been thrilled by Odegaard’s display, as were many Arsenal fans.
One supporter said “He’s beyond good Far far beyond.” Another chipped in with “Proper captain and footballer. I can never understand how such a 1 footed player can be so good – but he really is. Can play any pass there is in football.”
One fan claimed “If he doesn’t win Player of the Year then the awards are corrupt!” Another stated “Just poetry in motion. What a performance. He’s joy.”
