Liverpool are currently in pursuit of a new manager ahead of Jurgen Klopp’s Anfield departure at the end of the season.
Over the past couple of days, speculation linking the Reds and Feyenoord’s Arne Slot has intensified massively.
For instance, the Evening Standard reported on Tuesday that Slot had climbed to the top of the Anfield wish-list to replace Klopp.
Meanwhile, the Liverpool Echo claimed that Slot fits all the criteria that has been set out in the process of finding their new manager.
Since then, things have been moving fast. Earlier today, TBR Football sources claimed that the Reds are now in talks with Feyenoord over their manager, who is keen on the move.
Now, Fabrizio Romano has dropped a fresh update on discussions between Liverpool, Slot and his club.
Taking to X, the transfer insider wrote: “Liverpool are already discussing contract terms with Arne Slot, represented by Rafaela Pimenta. No issues as he’s super keen.
“He’s given his green light to the move on Tuesday, after initial positive contact. Meanwhile, #LFC discussing compensation fee with Feyenoord.”

It’s good to hear that things are picking up pace between Liverpool and Slot. This is probably the most speculation we’ve had in a short space of time involving the Reds and one manager.
Although the Reds and Ruben Amorim were also said to be in talks, things didn’t seem to be moving as fast as they are now.
If Liverpool can get a manager to agree a deal to take over from Klopp before the season ends, it will ensure continuity for the players, the staff and the fans.
Slot has been superb for Feyenoord in recent years, leading them to the Eredivisie title last year and the Dutch Cup this term.
He also plays exciting football, so all in all, he seems like a great shout for the Reds.
