Everything Kim Kardashian has said about Taylor Swift - Phone call drama to diss track

Kim Kardashian and Taylor Swift’s drama has been ongoing for years, and now the country singer has released a track, thanK you aIMee, it’s all been brought back up again. Their feud began back in 2016.

If you’re new here, Kim Kardashian and Taylor Swift have never seen eye-to-eye. It started with a phone call that dates back to 2016 when Kim’s ex, Kanye West, included lyrics about Taylor in a song.

Taylor Swift and Kim Kardashian drama

Kim and Taylor were on good terms back in 2015. Several snaps show the two, plus Jay Z and Kanye West, smiling while conversating at the 57th Grammy Awards, and even sharing a hug.

They watched on with arms around each other to see who would receive which award, several years after the awkward moment Kim’s ex-husband decided to steal Swift’s mic award win.

However, it’s been literally eight years and the two have had public drama ever since 2016. Kim has stayed pretty tight-lipped for most of the feud, but Tay recently wrote a song about her – apparently.

Kim Kardashian’s ex stole mic off Tay

Kanye West stole the mic off the singer at an awards night in 2009, claiming Beyoncé deserved to win the award Swift received. It was quickly forgiven by Swift afterwards, though.

Ye stole the mic from the Love Story singer’s award win at the VMAs. She was accepting Best Video by a Female Artist for her hit You Belong with Me, when Swift was just 19.

Taking the mic, Ye said, “I’ma let you finish, but Beyoncé had one of the best videos of all time!” He later called up the singer and apologized, which she swiftly accepted.

Kanye asked Swift about song mention

Before releasing his 2016 song, Famous, former spouses Kanye and Kim said the rapper had received consent from Taylor to include lyrics about her. To prove they had asked, Kim leaked the phone call.

Kim released a video of Kanye on the phone with the Blank Space singer. The video clips suggest Taylor was in agreement with the lyrics being included on Famous, but claims the footage was edited.

The last she tweeted about it was back in March 2020. After a ten-tweet run, Kim concluded with the words: “This will be the last time I speak on this because honestly, nobody cares.”

She added, “Sorry to bore you all with this. I know you are all dealing with more serious and important matters.” Kim stood by her word that she hadn’t “edited” the videos and was “forced to defend” Ye.

However, a 2016 report from Entertainment Weekly says that Taylor was never made aware of the actual lyric, ‘I made that b***h famous” and had warned against using a misogynistic message.

Kim wrote, “The lie was never about the word b***h, It was always whether there was a call or not and the tone of the conversation. I never edited the footage (another lie), I only posted a few clips on Snapchat.”

Kim hires Swift’s BFF for SKIMS

Sabrina Carpenter, Taylor’s tour opener and close friend, was hired for a SKIMS photoshoot and clothing line. She opened for Taylor Swift’s Eras tour, showcasing her skills as a piano player, guitarist and singer.

Carpenter has become BFFs with the singer, often appearing at gigs and hang-outs together. One snap shows Sabrina in pigtails while reading a book, while another sees the blonde bombshell on a phone.

One fan wrote: “Kim’s a business girly that’s for sure. LOVE that she got Sabrina for this campaign. First the Mahomes and now Taylor’s tour opener. The Swifties are losing it.”

Kim is ‘loving life’ after diss track drama

The 24th song on Taylor’s album, thanK you aIMee, involves lyrics such as “”There’s a bronze spray-tanned statue of you and a plaque underneath it / That threatens to push me down the stairs, at our school.”

She sings: “And so I changed your name, and any real defining clues / And one day, your kid comes home singing a song that only us two is gonna know is about you.”

North and Kim share a TikTok together and have previously danced along to Taylor’s 2014 hit Shake It Off. In another section, Swift says, “B*****, f*** you and your ex-husband.”

Since the song was released, Kim made an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel, who referenced Taylor’s track in his opening monologue before interviewing her. She then revealed that “life is good”.
