'He's out of control': Ian Wright claims key Nottingham Forest man is completely wild now

Ian Wright believes one Nottingham Forest man is now totally out of control following some of his antics in recent weeks.

The Reds have been in the headlines all week following a 2-0 defeat to Everton at Goodison Park in the Premier League.

It was a contest marred by three decisions that didn’t go in Forest’s favour and on another day they might have left with something.

After the game, Forest issued a statement expressing concerns that VAR on the day was run by Stuart Attwell – a Luton Town supporter.

Alan Shearer criticised Forest for that particular statement and it’s a topic of discussion that has rumbled on all week.

Attwell has been named by UEFA as one of England’s representatives on VAR this week – adding further fuel to the fire from Forest fans.

Now, Wright has thrown his thoughts into the mix and it would appear that one man is attracting critique from him.

Ian Wright unhappy with one Nottingham Forest man

Well, everyone is talking about Nottingham Forest at the moment – and not all of the things being said are particularly good.

Although pundits and media experts have been criticising referees for years, it would appear Forest have gone too far.

To question a referee’s integrity is a little bit over the top and Evangelos Marinais will probably be hit in the pocket for his outburst.

Now Wright, along with Jill Scott and Jamie Carragher have weighed in on the incidents from this weekend.

They were all featuring on the latest episode of The Overlap and a conversation between the three went as follows:

Jill Scott: “Why go on social media? Do they actually think there was a Luton fan going ‘You know what, in this moment this is going to benefit Luton, let’s not give a penalty’. Do they actually think that’s happened?”

Jamie Carragher: “The owner wanted to put the tweet out at half-time. That was before the worst penalty had happened in the second half. I thought the handball one was a penalty, I thought the other one was 50/50. But he wanted to put the tweet out at half-time and the media team were like you can’t do that.”

Ian Wright: “He’s out of control.”

Forest have to park off-field antics and get back to football

With Everton and Brentford picking up over the last week, it’s now a shootout between Luton, Burnley and Forest for two of the three spots.

Forest simply have to better the points total that Luton get between now and the end of the season if they’re to remain in the Premier League.

It does feel as though things will be hard work and with Luton playing Wolves who have nothing to play for this weekend, they could climb out of the bottom three.

Forest have to leave this off-field stuff and vendettas toward referees at the door and simply get back to playing football and obtaining enough points to survive relegation.
