Radu Dragusin's close friend says he'd 'definitely' make PL move amid reports Spurs are trying to sign him

Tottenham Hotspur are likely to once again be busy in the transfer market as Ange Postecoglou looks to bolster his ranks further.

Spurs have improved significantly since last season, but there’s still work to do with regards to the quality and strength in depth of their squad.

Tottenham’s last match was a 4-0 hammering away at Newcastle United, and there have been other poor losses in recent weeks.

Whatever happens in terms of where Spurs finish in the table, they are on the right track and some more reinforcements wouldn’t go amiss.

Now, one player Tottenham are reportedly trying to sign has admitted he would love to try his luck in the Premier League.

The player in question is Genoa forward Albert Gudmundsson, who Spurs have been linked with over the past few months.

Calciomercato recently claimed that Spurs are in the mix for the 26-year-old along with Inter Milan and Juventus.

Now, Gudmundsson has spoken to The Telegraph about his career so far and his plans for the future, and it’s good news for the likes of Tottenham.

What has Albert Gudmundsson said about his future amid Spurs links?

The Iceland international, who counts Radu Dragusin among his close friends, says he’s up for playing in the Premier League.

“I really want to test myself at the highest level possible,” said Gudmundsson.

“I feel good here and still under contract here at Genoa and want to finish the season and see what happens.

“But obviously as a player and lover of football, I’ve dreamt of playing at the highest level. Always, that is my ambition.

“Since I was a kid I always thought about playing in the Premier League, so obviously it is something I definitely want to try.”

Described by Kevin Strootman as a ‘devastating’ winger, Gudmundsson could prove a solid addition for Tottenham in wake of his 15 goals and four assists this season.
