'Sorry': Gary Neville makes bold Tottenham v Arsenal prediction ahead of Sunday's North London derby

Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal are set to lock horns in a massive north London derby at N17 this Sunday.

Ange Postecoglou’s Spurs will ‘welcome’ Mikel Arteta’s Gunners to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the 2pm Premier League kick-off.

Obviously every north London derby is a big deal, but with the season close to the end, the result will have huge ramifications for both Tottenham and Arsenal.

Should Tottenham win, they’ll boost their chances of finishing in the Premier League’s top four and deal a major blow to Arsenal’s title hopes.

However, if the Gunners win, they’ll be able to keep the pressure on Manchester City, which is easier said than done considering how they fare in the run-in.

Tottenham haven’t played since the 4-0 loss to Newcastle United a fortnight ago, so while they may be fresher, their confidence may not be as high.

Meanwhile, Arsenal got back on track with victories over Wolverhampton Wanderers and Chelsea, the latter a resounding 5-0 home win.

Plenty of pundits have been having their say on how Spurs v Arsenal could pan out, including Sky Sports man Gary Neville.

What has Gary Neville said about Tottenham v Arsenal?

Speaking on Sky Sports, Neville said: “Arsenal cannot be shocked on Sunday. It’s going to be potentially almost like a bloodbath in the first 15-20 minutes.

“The Tottenham fans don’t want Arsenal to win the league. I’ve just been in London so much in the last few weeks.

“I go in the black cabs all the time and if you bump into a Tottenham fan they’ll say, ‘who do you think will win the league?’

“And I’ll go, ‘sorry, I hope Arsenal probably win it because you know, City and Liverpool.’ And they’ll go, ‘I hope not!’ Like that type of feeling exists.”

With so much to play for, this is certainly one of the most important north London derbies we’ve had in years.

Tottenham must win to keep their top-four hopes alive, while Arsenal must win to keep their Premier League title hopes intact.

With Man City being so rampant at the minute, any more slip-ups from the Gunners will likely put them out of title contention for another year.
