Darren Bent admits there is one Tottenham player who is capable of causing Arsenal serious problems

Former Tottenham Hotspur player Darren Bent has admitted there is one player at Spurs who he absolutely loves watching.

Tottenham take on their local rivals on Sunday in the final North London Derby of the campaign which will take place at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Three points now looks vital for both sides if they are to achieve their respective goals over the coming weeks in the Premier League.

And Ange Postecoglou has now been handed two injury boosts going into the game on Sunday with both Richarlison and Pedro Porro available for selection.

But they will certainly be coming up against it with Mikel Arteta’s side gunning for the Premier League title.

One man who is all too familiar with the North London Derby is the former Spurs striker and Arsenal fan, Darren Bent.

And he has now admitted there is one player who he seriously admires despite supporting Tottenham’s rivals.

Darren Bent says there’s one player who he absolutely loves at Tottenham

There was nothing to split the two sides when they met earlier in the season as Heung-min Son‘s goals secured Tottenham a point at the Emirates.

There is now 17 points in the table between these two sides, but it has to be said Tottenham have endured their injury issues.

And this Sunday is no different with Destiny Udogie missing from the squad after undergoing surgery on his quadricep.

A training ground injury at Hotspur Way is to blame and the Italian is not only going to miss the remainder of Tottenham’s season but also the Euros.

The 21-year-old has become a mainstay in Postecoglou’s starting XI having played 30 times for Spurs already.

Although he will not be playing on Sunday, the TalkSPORT pundit has admitted he has been seriously impressed by Udogie in his first season in the Premier League.

“He’s a good player him, by the way,” Bent said to his host Andy Goldstein.

But when the host questioned Udogie’s defensive ability, Bent replied: “No, no. I think defensively he’s [good]. Every time he’s played against [Bukayo] Saka, Saka hardly gets any change. No change…”

Impressive stats show just how good Destiny Udogie has been for Tottenham

Upgrading from Ben Davies to Udogie has allowed Spurs to play a much more attacking style of football.

The Italian has offered Spurs with a real threat down the left side as he’s been able to overlap the inverted left winger.

He has been able to find the back of the net twice as well as providing three assists in the Premier League.

With some massive games coming up for Spurs, he is going to be a huge miss for the way Postecoglou has his side playing.
