Krispy Kreme has teamed up with Pokemon on a range of doughnuts inspired by some of the most popular characters.
The limited-edition sweet treats launched at the end of April, but they’re sadly not available in the United States.
Krispy Kreme’s Pokemon doughnuts
The collaboration is exclusive to South Korea, and includes five different doughnuts, each of which is themed around a specific character.
First up is a bright yellow “refreshing lemon” flavored doughnut with the face of Psyduck on top, who resembles a duck or a bipedal platypus.
Another one is themed around Jigglypuff, the adorable pink balloon cat, and has a “sweet strawberry” flavor.
There’s also Diglett doughnut which is “dark chocolate” and made to look like the character is buried into the ground.
A Ditto one has bright pink icing on top and multicoloured sprinkles, and is flavored with “strawberry milk cream”.
Finally, we can’t forget Pikachu, another bright yellow doughnut with huge ears poking out the top and bright red cheeks, which is “cream of the corn”.
There is also an exclusive drink to wash the sweet treats down with, a red and orange slush with a Poké Ball on the top.
Americans are really jealous
Sadly there are no plans to bring the Krispy Kreme Pokemon doughnuts to the US, and everyone is really jealous.
One person wrote on Instagram: “Every time I see this I get so excited.. then it’s not even in USA
“I’d sell my soul for a Psyduck donut,” said another.
A third person added: “Krispy Kreme USA needs Pokemon donuts!”
“That’s awesome! I wish it was in the US,” someone else agreed.
Another said: “I want one so bad.”
This is the second time Krispy Kreme has released Pokemon doughnuts. In 2021, they launched five themed around Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle, Pikachu and a Poké Ball.
The collaboration was exclusively available in Australia and celebrated the show’s 25th anniversary.
Krispy Kreme fans in the US can currently get their hands on the Kit Kat range which features three scrumptious doughnuts: KIT KAT Crunch, KIT KAT Cookie Dream and KIT KAT Salted Caramel Brownie.
