Julian Gressel has said one Inter Miami wonderkid is already wise beyond his years despite still being just a teenager.
The Herons have one of the most exciting crop of youngsters in MLS, with Diego Gomez arguably the breakout prospect this year before picking up an ankle injury to Argentine youth international Federico Redondo signing in March.
With the likes of Noah Allen and David Ruiz also regulars for Inter Miami this season, the Florida franchise have done well to build their squad of superstars with youngsters who could one day make it big either in MLS or abroad in Europe.
Yet one wonderkid seemingly looks ready to take on the world already.
Gressel praises Benjamin Cremaschi’s maturity after Inter Miami return
Speaking on the Player/Manager podcast, Gressel lauded Benjamin Cremaschi over how mature the 19-year-old midfielder already comes across, with the teenager just returning to Inter Miami action from injury.
The USA international missed pre-season due to a sport hernia, yet with Cremaschi back and already scoring for Inter Miami, it’s clear that the midfielder is eager to make up for lost time in the coming weeks.
Gressel said when asked about Cremaschi’s development: “He was part of that group [Gressel was mentoring], but there’s guys who need mentoring and guys who don’t, and Benja’s very much someone who doesn’t need mentoring.
“He’s got his head in the right place, he knows what to do and how to do things, he has a very high maturity level. He’s heading in the right direction, and from my point of view, I don’t feel like I need to say anything to help him.”
Cremaschi’s mentality will set him apart from other youngsters
At 19, the world is at Cremaschi’s feet, with the Inter Miami wonderkid one of the most exciting prospects in MLS and a talent who could easily one day make the leap to Europe in the near future.
And the youngster’s mentality will be a key aspect in how far Cremaschi goes as a player, with the Inter Miami star seemingly having all the right traits to go far once the day comes to leave Florida.
Indeed, Cremaschi has the talent, the mentality and the personality to become a real star in soccer, and having all these attributes defined from an early age will go a long way in the years to come.
