'The way he plays': Kieran Gibbs says Inter Miami now have a 'super talent' in their squad

Kieran Gibbs has suggested Inter Miami now have a ‘super talent’ in their squad after Saturday’s win against the New England Revolution.

The Herons have been in red-hot form in recent weeks following the return of Lionel Messi, with the Argentine international, of course, the star of the show for Inter Miami having scored two goals and bagging two assists on Saturday.

Yet it’s not just Messi who has impressed at Inter Miami this season, with Diego Gomez winning plaudits before going down with an ankle injury as new signing Luis Suarez has also looked fantastic in MLS.

And former defender Gibbs now thinks Inter Miami have another potential superstar in the making.

Benjamin Cremaschi lauded as ‘exciting talent’ after Inter Miami return

Speaking on the Inter Miami Weekly Show, Gibbs was full of praise for Benjamin Cremaschi after the 19-year-old scored his first goal of the season for the Herons against New England on the weekend.

Already a US international and a player with eyes set on Europe, Cremaschi was one of Inter Miami’s breakout players last year alongside Messi, and the midfielder’s return to action could see the youngster take his game up another level.

Gibbs said: “It’s great to have him back, he has been missed. We’re starting to see the depths of Inter Miami’s squad coming through and really helping the team. He’s blessed with such an exciting talent, and I love the way he plays the game.”

The former England international later added: “It’s good to see him. He looks sharp, he looks just as strong and just as keen to effect the games. He’s a super talent, I really enjoyed having him back and I’m sure the team will benefit hugely from that.”

Inter Miami know they have a superstar on their hands in Cremaschi

Cremaschi exploded onto the scene last year after the arrival of Messi with a number of top performances that rightly caught the eye, with the midfielder rewarded with a USA call-up.

And for Inter Miami, they are well aware they have a potential superstar on their hands in Cremaschi, who in the next 18 to 24 months could be ready for a move to Europe and to fly the MLS flag in the soccer heartland.

Versatile, athletic and strong, Cremaschi has all the tools needed to flourish in Europe in his career, and Inter Miami need to be there to give the midfielder every platform needed to succeed and to develop.
