Report: Chelsea have opened talks over signing £65m player who really rates Mykhailo Mudryk

Reports have claimed that Chelsea could be about to get their summer transfer action underway.

It has been widely claimed that the Blues are going to be busy as far as incomings and outgoings go, and it was stated that they were opening negotiations properly for the first time over the weekend.

It claimed that they were in contact over a potential move for Victor Osimhen, with the offer including sellable asset Romelu Lukaku.

Chelsea will have to sell big before they are able to strengthen their squad this summer, with key players such as Conor Gallagher and Trevoh Chalobah seemingly still up for sale at the right price.

However, another name has now cropped up as someone who will potentially be on the move to Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea open talks about signing Georgiy Sudakov

It has been reported by the Mail Online that Chelsea are stepping up interest in Shakhtar Donetsk midfielder Georgiy Sudakov ahead of the upcoming transfer window, with him valued at £65m according to them.

The report goes on to say that the Blues have been in touch with the player’s representatives in order to get a better idea of the figures that will be involved with a potential deal.

Sudakov has previously stated his admiration for current Chelsea star Mykhailo Mudryk, who he played alongside for the Ukrainian side.

Sudakov a big fan of Mudryk

He said: “Mykhailo is a talented player, he can play in any position, not only on the wing, he can play in the centre of the field, as a centre forward. I am sure that he has a bright future ahead of him at Chelsea. It just requires time, and people should trust him.

“Mykhailo and I talk every day, and in some situations I learn from him and he gives me advice. He’s having new challenges at Chelsea this season, but he is a very talented player with very big ambitions. I think he has a great future.”

It remains to be seen if the duo are going to get to feature together at Stamford Bridge, however it will have been noted that Mudryk is going to have to improve in order to keep his place in the long-term.

In a time where Noni Madueke is taking his chance to prove he has a future here, the 23-year-old cannot say the same right now.
