‘Transfer expected’: Chelsea will sell their quickest player this summer, plenty of clubs want him - Romano

Chelsea are reportedly ready to cut ties with one player when the transfer window opens this summer.

The Blues are expected to be busy as far as incomings and outgoings go this summer, with them safe in the knowledge that they will need to sell before they buy this summer.

This has led to reports that a number of their first team stars could be surplus to requirements, with Conor Gallagher still being mentioned as one of those players.

This is despite him clearly being a crucial member of the first team right now, featuring in near enough every side selected by Mauricio Pochettino.

There are a number of players who are also on loan from the club right now who could be sold, with their fortunes favouring very differently right now.

While Ian Maatsen has just booked his place in a Champions League final, Armando Broja has hardly kicked a ball since moving down the road to Fulham.

Chelsea to sell Armando Broja

Now, Romano has claimed on Twitter that he will be sold this summer for sure, with him actually being a target of a number of top clubs.

He said: “Chelsea and Armando Broja are planning to part ways this summer. Permanent transfer expected as soon as he returns from Fulham loan.

“Albanian number one striker’s on the list of several clubs in Europe and Premier League, looking at him as main option.”

Broja described as ‘quickest’ Chelsea player

While Broja struggled to secure regular minutes in the side during his half season st Stamford Bridge under Pochettino, it is fair to say he made quite the impression on some of his teammates.

Raheem Sterling noted how his pace left a lasting impression on him, comparing him to his former teammate Kyle Walker in terms of pure speed.

It looks as if the club are more than happy with one striker currently there though, with Nicolas Jackson sat on 13 Premier League goals.

Despite reports they are still looking at a new striker this summer, many supporters will no doubt be wondering if one is necessary after watching the Senegal international in recent weeks.
