Outdaughtered’s Danielle Busby was hit with a bill of $35K for braces to fix her quintuplet children’s teeth. Parker, Riley, Hazel, Olivia and Ava are all required to get dental work – and it isn’t cheap.
When Danielle Busby found out she’d have to take out the same cost of a car to fix her four children’s teeth on Outdaughtered, she regretted taking them all, and wished she’d taken one child to the dentist.
Outdaughtered mom hit with $35K
With two kids costing $11K for dental work, quintuplets make that so much more expensive. After all five girls are examined by the orthodontist, Danielle hears what the total damage will be.
Once the Outdaughtered stars receive the orthodontic treatment to fix their teeth, Danielle hears it will cost an estimated $35K for braces. “$35,000?” Riley asks as Danielle covers her face with her hands.
Even her daughter says, “That’s a lot of money.” Danielle learns that all five of them will need orthodontic treatment once their permanent teeth grow in, including Parker, nine, who has an underbite.
‘Expensive’ braces for quintuplets
Although Parker is adamant she “brushed for two minutes cause you’re supposed to,” her sister, Hazel, pushes back at that, telling Parker: “You don’t even brush your teeth that much.”
“Yeah I do,” Parker replies, though Hazel insists, “No, you don’t.” When it’s Olivia’s turn with the orthodontist, Danielle is informed that she’ll need “full braces” once all her permanent teeth come in.
She also has an overbite, while Riley is told she has an underbite and claims, “Ava brushes the worst ’cause her teeth has brown spots on these teeth,” as she points at her front teeth.
“The doctor said you got to stop eating blueberries and strawberries but I don’t care,” Ava replies. She was told she has both an over and underbite, contributing to the Outdaughtered $35K braces.
Riley then shares a story her dad, Adam Busby, has told her. “My dad said the tooth fairy’s whole entire body’s covered with teeth. Even the feet, even the eyes,” she says, with Parker adding, “Even the wings.”
Danielle Busby has major regrets
Danielle Busby wishes she’d just taken one of her children so the unbearable amount she has to pay wouldn’t feel quite so extreme. “$35,000? That’s insane,” Danielle admits.
She adds, “I mean, I should’ve just took one. It probably would’ve felt less, like, wah.” Her daughter, Parker, than goes on to ask the orthodontist if she’s putting the braces on today.
