Chelsea have the chance to do something against Nottingham Forest they have not managed since 1999

Chelsea return to Premier League action tomorrow with the visit to the City Ground to take on Nottingham Forest.

With just three games left to go this season, securing as many points as possible will be crucial for them securing European football for next season.

They currently sit in seventh in the league, which is currently enough for them to play in the Europa Conference League. However it has been claimed that this is not enough for the owners, who are demanding Europa League football as a minimum.

This sees Mauricio Pochettino under pressure, something he has been used to pretty much since taking over at the start of the campaign.

They look to move in this direction when they take on Forest tomorrow, who are looking to secure their status as a Premier League side for next season.

They will be relying on the brilliance of Callum Hudson-Odoi after his move from Stamford Bridge, finally showing the form on a regular basis that he promised coming through in West London.

Going away to the City Ground is a venue the Blues do not have the best record at, and according to BBC Sport they have only won two of their past ten outings there in the league.

Chelsea not won away at Nottingham Forest since 1999

The statistic also shared that they have not picked up a victory there this millennium. Their last win came back in 1999.

Last season saw Raheem Sterling open the scoring in bizarre circumstances, although they were left holding on for a 1-1 draw in the final moments.

Chelsea looking for revenge against Forest

The Blues will also be looking for revenge on their opponents after losing 1-0 at home to them earlier this season.

The outing will go down as the first occasion where Chelsea fans got a glimpse at Cole Palmer, with him going on to have a season worthy of nomination for Premier League player of the season.
