Report: West Ham have just made official £15 million bid for Benrahma replacement

So West Ham United have apparently just made an official move to sign a long-term replacement for Said Benrahma.

Incoming West Ham manager Julen Lopetegui needs to sign a new right-footed left winger in the summer transfer window, with Said Benrahma apparently set to join Lyon on a permanent £12.4 million deal.

David Moyes will leave an extremely unbalanced squad to Lopetegui, and one of the main priorities for the Spaniard will be to bolster his left wing department.

Mohammed Kudus is at his best centrally or on the right whilst Lucas Paqueta just seems to be uncomfortable playing wide on the left.

We need someone with real skill and pace to come into the side and offer us a completely different dimension.

The club need to be looking at up and coming talents as well, rather than past it has-beens who have no hunger to prove themselves anymore.

And it seems as though director of football Tim Steidten has identified just the man for the job…

Wesley Gassova could be West Ham bound

Globo Esporte claim that West Ham have made an official £15 million bid for Brazilian teenager Wesley Gassova.

However, Corinthians are said to be holding out for at least £21 million from the Hammers for the 19-year-old starlet.

Familiar face Kia Joorabchian is allegedly playing a key role in trying to bring Wesley to the London Stadium this summer.

The young left winger has bagged six goals and four assists in 62 senior appearances for Corinthians (Transfermarkt).

He is extremely talented, has pace and skill in abundance, and would be a sensational addition for the Hammers.

Wesley Gassova is only 19 though, and he will obviously have to bulk up his slight frame in order to be a success in the Premier League with West Ham.

Hopefully we manage to get this one over the line this summer, because he is a serious talent, there’s no doubt about that.
