Will there be a 'Stardew Valley 2'?
The popular open-ended country-life RPG was originally released back in early 2016, with several updates being added to it throughout the years.
Creator Eric Barone is currently working on the title's 1.5 update (which he started working on back in February). While he has admitted that he is "not willing to commit to Stardew Valley 1.6", he doesn't think 1.5 will be the game's final update. In fact, he thinks that it's possible that the game could get a sequel in the future!
He told Game Informer: "I don't think [1.5] will be the end of Stardew Valley. I would not be surprised if there's another Stardew Valley update, or multiple updates, or a Stardew Valley 2. Who knows?"
However, there is no guarantee that this will happen, since he hasn't decided what the future of Stardew Valley will involve quite yet.
He added: "After 1.5, I'll decide what the next step for Stardew Valley is. But I would say there will probably be another step for Stardew Valley. In the meantime, I'm also working on a couple of new projects."
