Among Us could introduce guardian angels

'Among Us' bosses might let dead players return as guardian angels.

Studio InnerSloth has opened up on potential improvements to the hugely popular title - based on the classic Mafia party game - which was released in 2018 but has become a big hit during the pandemic.

Currently, once a player dies in the game, they can continue as ghosts and complete tasks, but they can't join in discussions or interact with anything else.

Now, the three-man development team is looking at introducing guardian angels, with the ability to save living players.

Speaking on Twitch's Weekly Gaming Show, InnerSloth programmer Forest Willard said: "[Balancing a change like that is the hardest part.

"We've thought a lot about [making ghosts into' guardian angels and stuff like that, but it's a difficult thing to pull off.

"But we're definitely thinking about those sort of things."

THe studio is keen to improve the experience for the first person that gets killed off.

Designer Marcus Bromander admitted it "sucks" to be in that situation, and the team wants to "figure something out".
