Crime thriller Dexter set to return

Dexter set to return for a limited series.

The popular serial killer crime drama - which originally aired between 2006 and 2013 - has been revived by Showtime for a limited series of ten episodes, according to Deadline.

Michael C. Hall, who starred as the titular blood-spatter expert and serial killer, is on board to return to the programme for the new series, as will showrunner Clyde Phillips.

The limited series will go into production in early 2021, and currently has a tentative premiere date of late 2021.

Gary Levine, Co-President of Entertainment at Showtime, said that the network was only willing to revisit the “unique” character if they could find a creative take that was “worthy”, and they have “found it”.
