Tesla is rolling out Full Self-Driving beta software

Tesla is rolling out Full Self-Driving beta software to a select number of customers this week.

CEO Elon Musk took to Twitter to confirm that those signed up to Tesla’s Early Access Program will receive the update, which enables Autopilot’s partially automated driver assist system,

Musk warned that the rollout will take time and be "extremely cautious" as they work out any kinks in the system.

The billionaire entrepreneur tweeted: "FSD beta rollout happening tonight. Will be extremely slow & cautious, as it should."

During an earnings call this week, Musk elaborated in a letter to investors that the Autopilot team “has been focused on a fundamental architectural rewrite of our neural networks and control algorithms. This rewrite will allow the remaining driving features to be released.”
