Three's not a crowd at the restaurant celebrating throuples this Valentine's Day

As Valentine's Day approaches, a sex toy brand is putting three-way love on the menu so that Valentines in polyamorous relationships can dine out with no taboos this February 14.

Romantic relationships involving three people are one of the new forms of love that mainstream society still has some difficulty accepting. Although glimpsed in TV show and movie portrayals, polyamorous relationships are also a reality. In fact, 28% of British people recently confided that they would consider entering this kind of relationship. As a result, sex toy brand Lelo has decided to help three-way lovers step out with no taboos this Valentine's Day.

In London's Shoreditch district, the brand will open a pop-up restaurant that monogamous lovers can pass on by. The eatery will logically be called "Throuple" a term describing a polyamorous relationship involving three people. However, Lelo assures would-be diners that lovers in four- or even five-way relationships are also welcome. Fifteen tables are available for reservation, via the website Lelothrouple.co.uk. These have been carefully designed to facilitate interaction between the various members of the relationship. Diners can enjoy a three-course menu, but prices are yet to be confirmed.

While this is evidently a marketing operation, since the restaurant will open for one night only, Lelo is seeking to shake up long-standing conventions and to encourage everyone to feel free to live and love as they like. The brand explains that it hopes to encourage people in polyamorous relationships to not feel restricted by the social norm of monogamy.
