Wide receiver Mecole Hardman will head back to the Kansas City Chiefs after the team finalized a trade with the New York Jets on Wednesday. Hardman only caught one pass in six games with the Jets and was not targeted at all in four contests. During training camp, many speculated how Hardman would be used in New York’s offense. The receiver became known in Kansas City as a deep-ball threat, a tool the Jets’ more conservative offense has not traditionally used. Hardman alluded to difficulties connecting with Aaron Rodgers in August. “Yeah, we’re continuing trying to build the chemistry,” Hardman...

He achieved this in 83 games, faster than Matthew Stafford’s record.

The Kansas City Chiefs and Patrick Mahomes have restructured their agreement. The deal will pay out $210.6 million between 2023 and 2026, which is the most in NFL history over a four-year span, with compensation now guaranteed. The Chiefs organization and Mahomes will then revisit their deal after the 2026 season is over. Mahomes became the highest-paid player in the NFL when he was given a 10-year extension worth $450 million. While no player has since topped Mahomes’ contact in its total value, several NFL quarterbacks, such as Justin Herbert, Jalen Hurts and Joe Burrow, have passed Mahomes ...

Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce returned to practice Wednesday and is on track to play in Week 2. Offensive coordinator Matt Nagy said Thursday that the decision will ultimately be made by coaches later this week. On his podcast with his brother, Eagles center Jason Kelce, the Chiefs All-Pro tight end expressed frustration about missing Week 1, a game Kansas City lost to the Detroit Lions 20-19. Kelce reportedly begged coaches to play before the game but they did not allow him to do so. “Seriously though, I did feel like an a—— for not being able to be out there Week 1,” Kelce said o...

With Baron Browning sidelined due to surgery, Denver needed to sign a pass rusher for depth. The former three-time Pro Bowler Frank Clark fits the bill, as the Broncos also signed interior defensive lineman Zach Allen (former Arizona Cardinal) in free agency to replace Dre’mont Jones, who signed with Seattle. Clark, 29, inked a one-year deal worth up to $7.5 million, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, as he joins Russell Wilson and new head coach Sean Payton. The former second-round pick from Michigan was drafted by Seattle in the 2015 NFL Draft and spent four seasons there, as the defensive e...

Offensive tackle Orlando Brown Jr. signed a four-year, $64 million deal with the Cincinatti Bengals Wednesday that will include $43.5 million guaranteed. Brown is expected to be an important addition to the team’s offensive line, which has made gradual improvements to protect quarterback Joe Burrow since his rookie season in 2020. After four years at the University of Oklahoma, Brown entered the NFL in 2018 as a member of the Baltimore Ravens, the same team his father played most of his career for at the turn of the century. Brown Jr. played there from 2018 to 2020 before he was traded to the ...

The Chiefs have had the top-ranked offense in terms of total yards three times under Bieniemy. The team has also reached the AFC championship game for five straight seasons, with two Super Bowl wins. Most importantly, Bieniemy has helped develop perhaps the new GOAT quarterback one day – Patrick Mahomes. Bieniemy has interviewed 17 times ...

The Los Angeles Chargers revealed Wednesday that wide receiver Keenan Allen will miss the team’s Thursday Night Football matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs with a hamstring injury. Allen exited the Chargers’ game last week in the second quarter and didn’t return. Before he exited the game, Allen was having an excellent start to his 2022 season, catching four passes for 66 yards in less than one half. His departure didn’t prove too costly for Los Angeles, which went on to win 24-19. If he misses more time, however, his absence could become more apparent. As young quarterback Justin Herbert’...

As the NFL season starts, many football pundits are having a look at which players are primed for a leap this upcoming season. For the Kansas City Chiefs, this year is no different. One player who has put in the work is veteran pass rusher, Frank Clark. Clark reported to Chiefs camp looking more in shape than he’s ever been, a change he attributes to a certain lifestyle change. “One of the main things is I cut a lot of red meat out. I stopped drinking liquor,” Clark said. “Alcohol is a big factor in a lot of things as far as weight, that cut, it all is sugar. So at the end of the day, I stopp...
