As the world pours over the intricate details of hostage releases, trucks of humanitarian aid, or even dimensions of Hamas' tunnels, we are in serious danger of missing the wood for the trees. The ongoing multi-front Iranian attack on Israel by Hezbollah in the north, Hamas in the centre, and Houthis in the south, has been minimised and rebranded as a Hamas-Israel war. But the actual wood is even wider. The announcement of the India-Middle East-Europe Economic Corridor, or IMEC, just weeks prior was what actually triggered the 7 October attacks. Unsettling the Russia-China-Iran axis sparked th...

Major Ilya Yevlash said he cannot remember one day without the sound of suspected Iranian “kamikaze” drones wreaking havoc in his country. Since August 2022, Ukrainian soldiers fighting Russia have had to contend with so-called Shahed drones: a technology that, when launched, “destroys everything,” according to Yevlash, the spokesman of Ukraine’s Air Force. “If a Shahed hits an old building where there are a lot of people, they will totally destroy it,” Yevlash told Euronews Next. Shahed drones were used once again when Iran launched more than 300 missiles at Israel last week in what many saw ...

Israel is carrying out its largest operation within the West Bank since the attacks on October 7th. Israeli military claims it killed 10 "terrorists" at the Nur al-Shams refugee camp, while the Palestinian news agency Wafa reported 14 people killed, including at least one child, as well as mass arrests. This happens as the US House of Representatives has approved $26.4 billion in aid to Israel, as part of a wider package on foreign aid which still needs to pass the Senate.

This happened on the heels of an Israeli airstrike on the Iranian consulate in Damascus that had killed seven members of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard. Whilst the reported retaliation initially see...
