White Sands (United States) (AFP) - Wesley Burris was fast asleep in bed when the world's first atomic bomb exploded just 25 miles from his front door. The power giant reported a net profit of €10 billion for last year, compared to the €17.9 billion loss it posted in 2022. This was largely due to higher nuclear power output in 2023.
