Everyone on TikTok is singing about 'black coffee' in bed, and there's a reason why

A lot of TikTok users are singing or talking about taking ‘black coffee’ to bed at 3AM and drinking their whiskey neat, and it’s all thanks to a famous singer.

One of Joe Keery’s songs from a couple of years ago had a similar effect on TikTok users recently as it played on every scroll. Some users were surprised to know it was the Strangers Things actor’s creation, while others couldn’t wait to block it.

Singing to ‘My coffee black in bed at 3’ is TikTok’s trend

The latest TikTok trend stems from Hozier’s unreleased song ‘Too Sweet’, included in his forthcoming new album.

The lyrics have surely become the most discussed topic on the platform, with some diehard fans even showing the “right way” to sing it, and a few others trying to decipher its meaning.

Meanwhile, a few others are treating it as their go-to romantic track, as it plays while they imagine themselves in different situations.

The catchy lyrics and the tune supporting it are the perfect dance number. You can hop on the trend too, by doing the above or defining it in your own way as long as your video has the core lyrics playing.

The song goes:

“I take my whiskey neat
My coffee black in bed at three
You’re too sweet for me.”

Hozier’s new song will release next week

Hozier announced his new EP only two days ago and one other song was an instant hit as TikTok users couldn’t stop singing it.

In a post shared to Twitter/X, the singer revealed his album titled ‘Unheard’ will consist of four songs – Too Sweet, Empire Now, Fare Well, and Wildflower and Barley.

The new project features Canadian singer-songwriter Allison Russell and is slated for a Friday, March 22 release. Hozier’s fans are waiting with bated breath for all four songs in the album.

“OMG. I am so excited. Love you Hozier,” said one.

“I am waiting for Too Sweet complete track. Can’t stop singing,” said another.

A third fan asked: “Wait, is this your birthday gift for us?” as the singer celebrated his birthday on March 17.
