It was time for MMA fighter Kim Dong-hyun to choose his opponent on Physical 100. His eyes quickly diverted to Shaibu Emmanuel, who he ended up winning against, but the outcome isn’t what fans hoped.
Emmanuel Macron stars on Physical 100
Boxer-turned-fitness model, Shaibu Emmanuel, joined Physical 100 season 2 and left with an impressive feat. He said filming the show “was a good run” and promised to “do better next time”.
The former UFC fighter is nicknamed Cicada Kim “for a reason” and was described to have a strength “out of this world” by his on-screen opponent. Emmanuel is a natural bodybuilder and IFBB Pro competitor.
Dedicated to growing his physique, he’s reached over 6K followers on YouTube and competed in the NPC Worldwide Korea Natural Pro Qualifier last year for Men’s Physique.
Boxer fights season 2 MMA fighter
Emmanuel went head-to-head in a game of tussle ball with MMA fighter Kim Dong-hyun. They both ran into a cage before the fitness model grabs the ball first. Then, Dong-hyun wrapped his legs around him.
Strong enough to squeeze the ball and hold onto it, Emmanuel’s strength “flustered” Dong-hyun, who admits he regretted choosing him within just 20 seconds of their fight.
Dong-hyun managed to get Emmanuel’s arm free from the ball, and then the ball rolls out of his hands. Somehow, the fitness model manages to squeeze onto the ball again with 50 seconds left.
In literally the last 30 seconds, Dong-hyun gets hold of the ball, but many are convinced Emmanuel held down most of the fight. Even their fellow co-stars described Emmanuel as “insane” and “strong”.
‘Justice for Emmanuel’ goes viral
When Emmanuel was eliminated, “Justice for Emmanuel” went viral on Twitter. Many felt he didn’t deserve to go home due to how much of a strong fight he put up during his cage battle.
One fan said, “Y’all need to bring back Emmanuel because the way he got eliminated was some BS… #Physical100.” Another penned, “Emmanuel did so well. He kept his all against an MMA champion.”
“They’re cheering for Dong Hyun like he didn’t win by pure luck. Emmanuel was actually so much stronger. #Physical100,” a fellow Netflix viewer wrote on social media.
