'Have that nagging feeling': Andros Townsend predicts who will win the Premier League this season

Andros Townsend has now been sharing his verdict on which of Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester City will win the league this season.

This international break really does feel like the calm before the storm, with Pep Guardiola and Mikel Arteta soon to face off again at the Etihad on Sunday.

Arsenal’s title-charge was well and truly ended at the same venue last season, and a win this time around would be as important from a mental perspective as it would be physically in the table too.

Of course, it’s interesting to consider what result Liverpool will be hoping for when watching on – will they want a draw? Or will they simply want Arsenal to kill Man City’s momentum?

Either way, Jurgen Klopp will have his side fully focused on their own job at hand, beating Brighton & Hove Albion in the earlier kick off of the day.

Every weekend is now going to be incredibly important in the title-race, and with that in mind, Andros Townsend has now been sharing his league winner on the BBC’s ‘The Monday Night Club’.

Andros Townsend still thinks Manchester City will win the Premier League this season

Speaking on the podcast, Townsend felt that City could win all their remaining ten games, starting with Arsenal this weekend.

He explained: “I feel like Man City are the only team in world football who can go and win their remaining 10 games and go on and win the league.

“I have that nagging feeling Man City will just go on and turn it on. [Kevin] De Bruyne is coming back into form, they have players coming back at the right time and they have been there and done it.”

Of course, the former Tottenham Hotspur player wasn’t about to tip Arsenal to win the league, was he?

But either way, most fans will still agree with Andros Townsend in making Man City favourites to win the league, they’ve simply been there and done it too many times before.

That being said, neither Arsenal or Liverpool fans will probably be too upset in keeping their position as underdogs.

It’s going to be a fascinating watch, and perhaps a lot may still be decided by the fitness of all three club’s respective players when they return from international duty – one big injury could change everything.

But aside from title-talk, City loanee Joao Cancelo has recently revealed the most difficult opponent he’s faced whilst playing in England.
