'Rumours continuing': Fabrizio Romano makes new Moyes claim that’ll anger half the fanbase

Fabrizio Romano has made a new David Moyes claim that will be sure to anger half the West Ham United fanbase.

West Ham manager David Moyes is really feeling the heat right now, and Fabrizio Romano has provided an update on his current situation.

The Scot has overseen a really poor run of form in the Premier League recently, with three draws and a defeat from our last four games, but he did suggest that the point against Tottenham could be a turning point for his side.

A recent report claimed that the Hammers board are losing patience with Moyes, and could replace him with Graham Potter in the summer.

There are concerns from some fans that the playing style implemented by Moyes isn’t sustainable, and it certainly won’t take us on to the next level.

So what’s the current state of play?

Fabrizio Romano makes new David Moyes claim

It cannot be argued that Moyes has taken us forward as a club over the past few years.

The fact that he ended our 43-year wait for a major trophy should never be underestimated.

However, many fans are tired of his boring, negative approach to our fixtures, both in the build-up to matches and during the games.

So what does Romano think will happen with Moyes?

Fabrizio Romano has claimed that nothing has been sorted out yet regarding Moyes’s future at the London Stadium.

“Rumours appear to be continuing on David Moyes but at this stage I’m not aware of decisions made about him by West Ham. The club are fully focused on the Premier League and European football, so everything that comes next will be discussed later. I think many times we heard that Moyes was almost gone and he’s still there. Nothing is decided yet.”

It’s very much a 50/50 split amongst the Hammers fans right now. There is the ‘Moyes in’ and the ‘Moyes out’ crew.

Both of them have fair arguments but what I would say is that I don’t think the Scot can take us any further as a club than he has done already.

So in order to make some real progress, the appointment of a younger, more forward-thinking manager with a progressive playing style will be necessary.

Fabrizio Romano has suggested that no decision has been made on the future of David Moyes just yet. However, unless we win the Europa League this season, I just can’t see him staying at the London Stadium beyond this summer.

However, Romano’s update means that those who are ‘Moyes out’ will not be happy one little bit.
