Britney Spears posts utterly bizarre Instagram video of West Ham ruckus out in Alkmaar

Britney Spears has shared a video on her official Instagram account showing the crowd trouble after the AZ Alkmaar vs West Ham clash last season.

That’s a sentence I thought I’d never type!

West Ham won the Europa Conference League last season. One of the most memorable nights on the road to glory was our 1-0 win away at AZ Alkmaar in the semi-finals.

However, it was a night that was marred by crowd trouble in the end. It must be said though, it was all the making of the Alkmaar fans.

After the full-time whistle, a group of AZ Alkmaar hooligans stormed the area of the stadium where the West Ham players’ partners and family members were sitting.

Numerous West Ham players tried to protect their families, including the likes of Said Benrahma and Lucas Paqueta.

The legend of ‘Knollsy’ was born on that night, after the Hammers fan stood his ground to ward off the approaching Dutch fans.

It was a night, both on and off the pitch, that will live long in the memory of the West Ham fans. However, I certainly didn’t think that the events at the AFAS Stadium would have even been on the radar of Britney Spears…

Now, this really is bizarre.

I’m not even sure that the famous singer, who has 42 million Instagram followers, understands what she has posted!

Spears has been in the news over the past few years after an ongoing conservatorship battle with her father.

She now has full control over her finances and life in general – good on her. However, her latest social media posts leaves a lot of questions unanswered…

Britney Spears took to her official Instagram account today, and posted a video of the ruckus out in Holland last year, accompanied by the caption ‘life’s too short, violence is never the answer give someone a hug today’:

That is truly and utterly bizarre, I’m sure you would agree.

I have never even heard Britney Spears and West Ham mentioned in the same sentence in my life before!

I’m sure a lot of people will be thinking the same, and I would love to know why she actually posted that video, or in fact where she even became aware of it in the first place!

Who knows, maybe she’ll explain herself one day.
