Sullivan confidant doubles down on Moyes contract claim that'll make West Ham fans boil over

A reporter very close to David Sullivan has doubled down on a David Moyes new contract claim that’ll make West Ham fans boil over.

David Moyes is a dead man walking at West Ham. Yesterday’s 5-2 defeat away at Crystal Palace was surely the final nail in his coffin regarding a potential new contract being sent his way.

Amazingly, the Scot suggested back in February that he has a new contract on the table waiting to be signed.

That was in spite of an absolutely atrocious run of form in 2024.

I personally don’t think that he’ll sign a new deal, even if it was offered to him, due to the fact that he’d have to work under certain parameters and stipulations.

However, a recent report suggested that no decision will be made on Moyes’s future until the 2023/24 season has finished.

And now a new claim has been made from someone ‘in the know’ regarding the situation…

Whatever happens between now and the end of the season, the Hammers board should be under no illusion about what to do with Moyes.

The Scot has proven that he cannot take us on to another level, and he irrevocably needs to be replaced.

So what’s the deal? Will Moyes definitely leave the club?

Sean Whetstone – a reporter very close to David Sullivan – has claimed that no decision will be made on Moyes’s future until the end of the season:

That claim will be sure to infuriate the Hammers fans.

The thing is, Moyes actually does deserve a proper send-off, considering the job he has done at the London Stadium.

It goes without saying that he has transformed us as a football club but unfortunately for him, pushing on to another level is something that he will not be able to achieve at West Ham.

I’m convinced that David Moyes won’t be handed a new contract, despite the claim suggesting that no decision has been made as yet.

Let’s just hope that if the board do decide to part ways with the Scot, they make a properly ambitious appointment to replace him.
