RFK Jr. might lure even more Trump voters with his most recent rant

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Donald Trump have a common foe: Former chief White House medical adviser Anthony Fauci.

This raises the question of whether the common enemy could grab more potential Trump supporters from the former president over Joe Biden as Kennedy makes his way onto more ballots in various states. In other words: Whose candidacy will he do more damage to?

Kennedy recently tore into Fauci during a podcast interview with Glenn Beck:

“Well, he’s not in jail because — because Joe Biden is president and because, you know, unfortunately Donald Trump colluded with, or was run over by him,” Kennedy said, according to the NY Post.

“Donald Trump knew what was wrong. He knew not to shut down our businesses. And he knew about lockdowns, about ivermectin, hydroxychloroquine, and he tried to speak up but his own bureaucrats told him to shut up and unfortunately he did what he was told,” Kennedy added, arguing that Trump “doesn’t deserve another chance” in office because of it.

Recent polling has shown Kennedy could do more damage to Trump and that the former president and Kennedy attract the same voters.

The latest was in a Marist poll that showed Biden beating Trump 43%-38% in a multi-candidate field that includes Kennedy. That’s five percentage points ahead of Trump, compared to the 2 percentage point advantage he had over Trump in an earlier survey.

Anotherpoll from NBC News showed similar results.

Trump beats Biden in a two-person race by 2 points, according to the poll. But in a five-way ballot that also included Kennedy, Biden leads by 2 points.
