Six schools are currently at the top for Zephyrhills (Fla.) Five-Star Plus+ cornerback DJ Pickett. Oregon is among that group, and the Ducks got the 6-foot-4, 180-pounder back to Eugene over the weekend. Pickett was one of the many touted prospects in attendance for Oregon’s spring game — which did not disappoint. He’s now been on campus twice this year and is set to return for an official visit on June 21. Eyes currently look toward Miami and LSU for the touted defensive back, but the Ducks are in the thick of things and certainly boosted their stock across the past couple of days, according ...

When Dante Moore transferred away from UCLA, he could have had his pick of the litter for starting jobs across the country, but instead, he opted to go be a backup at Oregon. Moore could very well be the QB1 for a program like Washington State, but rather than downgrade in competition level, Moore decided to challenge himself and head to Eugene, where he’s ready to be a sponge this upcoming season as he learns behind sixth-year senior Dillon Gabriel. When discussing the Moore addition Monday morning on an On3 YouTube show with ScoopDuck’s Justin Hopkins, Andy Staples pointed out how rare Moore...

It can be difficult to build a roster in the Transfer Portal era, with players coming and going easier than ever before. Despite that, the Oregon Ducks have maintained a talented roster throughout the era. ScoopDuck‘s Justin Hopkins broke down that excellent portal usage and why Oregon has been able to rank among the best teams in roster retention, only losing a couple of players who they wanted to keep. “I feel like, at least from the sources, there’s two guys that have left the program in the last three years that Oregon would have liked to keep,” Justin Hopkins said. “And if you look at the...

After two phenomenal seasons for Bo Nix at Oregon, head coach Dan Lanning and the Oregon Ducks needed to find a new quarterback for the 2024 season. They landed on bringing in Dillon Gabriel as a transfer at the position. It’s a new offensive style of Gabriel, where he needs to get the ball out quickly. However, as Justin Hopkins of ScoopDuck explained on Andy Staples On3, in the spring game Gabriel made it look like it’s going to be more of the same at Oregon. “Yeah, I know we’ve got a pretty vanilla offense there and they kept things in check,” Justin Hopkins said. “For me, Oregon fans are t...

One of the nation’s top tight end prospects was in Eugene for Oregon’s spring game this weekend. It was the second time on campus for Goodland (Kan.) four-star tight end Linkon Cure, who wanted to get back to see the Ducks before his June 14 official visit. He recapped his visit with On3’s Steve Wiltfong. “The environment was amazing and I loved every bit of my time there,” Cure said. “You can really feel the culture of the program! Everything excites me about the Ducks! I absolutely love it!” Going forward, Cure will visit Texas A&M the first weekend of May. Other contenders include Kansas an...

The Oregon staff worked overtime last week trying to get one of the top offensive linemen out to Eugene for a visit. Sumner (Fla.) offensive tackle Ziyare Addison already had a packed June with official visits. And that didn’t include a stop in Eugene. However on Sunday that changed. The 6-foot-4, 280-pounder announced an official visit has been set to Oregon on June 7-9. Addison is the No. 191 ranked player in the On3 Industry Rankings. He is the No. 14 ranked offensive tackle in the 2025 class. Currently Florida State leads the On3 RPM at 73%. Addison currently has official visits set for Fl...
