Saturday started off with a bang for Oregon fans in the NFL draft. A number of Ducks were selected early in the fourth round starting off with receiver Troy Franklin heading to Denver to join Bo Nix. Former Alabama and Oregon cornerback Khyree Jackson soon heard his name called in that same fourth round. The Minnesota Vikings drafted Jackson as the No. 108 overall pick in the draft. Last season Jackson had 34 tackles, 5 tackles for loss, 3 interceptions, 7 passes defended and 2 sacks. He earned First-Team All-Pac-12 honors for the Ducks. The Detroit Lions have made the decision to invest heavy in the offensive line. And it comes by way of a former Oregon offensive tackle. Penei Sewell has agreed to a contract with the Detroit Lions. The agreement makes him the highest paid offensive linemen in the national football league. It’s reported the deal is 4 years for $112 million with $85 million of it guaranteed. Via Oregon Communications EUGENE, Ore. — The Oregon football team will host its annual Spring Game on Saturday, April 27, at 1 p.m. PT in Autzen Stadium, and the UO Athletic Department has announced a postgame concert by Eugene native and fan-favorite artist Mat Kearney. This probably only makes big news for two reasons, for starters Edwardsville (Ill.) EDGE Iose Epenesa is really good and second there isn’t much information about him out there.
